Anxiety

If you are having problems with anxiety or stress, psychotherapy can help.  Symptoms of anxiety include  feelings  of tension, worried thoughts that you cannot control, and physical changes like a pounding heart, trembling, and shortness of breath. You may be avoiding situations  and limiting your life in an attempt to avoid having these anxious feelings.  Anxiety can actually fool you into doing things that make your symptoms worse rather than better.

Anxiety is one of the most common problems that brings people to therapy, and one of the most treatable. I’ve worked with  many people suffering from anxiety.  I use a variety of skills  and techniques, including mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, to help.
